May 2, 2010 Little Peanut Boutique was invited to attend the 3rd annual Pregnancy Awareness Event.

"Motherhood Begins Now, Celebrating Motherhood & Mother Earth" was hosted by PAM founder Anna Getty , Ricki Lake, Catherine McCord, Josie Maran, and Trista Sutter at TreePeople off Mulholland Drive in Coldwater Canyon Park.

Attendees were invited to participate in panel discussions with pregnancy, child development and green lifestyle experts including reknowned pediatrician Dr. Alan Greene, author/filmaker Ricki Lake, actress Joely Fisher, and authors Elizabeth Rogers and Kim Barnouin.

A fabulous Pregnancy Fashion Show was opened with Grammy award winner, singer, songwriter, and the voice of Creed, Scott Stapp performing an acoustic rendition of "Arms Wide Open."

My family and I took a nature hike with Rosa from Treepeople on planting, water conservation and more. We stopped in to check out the Holistic Mommy Lounge Spa. My daughter enjoyed tons of non-toxic toddler activities like face painting, crafts and great info on some scary reptiles. There were a ton of mommy-related & green product education and shopping!

I made a stop at an ice cream truck that all the pregnant ladies were raving about. This truck is amazing. Here is how it works...

My famiy ordered chocolate chip cookie and red velvet ice cream(since I have been on a Red velvet kick with this little peanut in my belly). Now the fun part about this experience was the edible wrapper that my daughter was so happy to eat. Standing behind me in line was Ricki Lake who asked my opinion on what flavor to get and I suggested red velvet with snickerdoodle. Later I saw her enjoying my suggestion and asked what she thought and she said she loved it and did not care who took a picture of her stuffing her face with it.

All in all we had an amazing day at an amazing event!
